Which bitrate should I choose for my MP3?
192 kbps is the right compromise for voice, interviews and everyday listening. For music you intend to keep, take 320 kbps: the size stays reasonable and the difference from WAV becomes inaudible to almost every ear.
Does the conversion damage my recordings?
MP3 is a lossy format: it discards what the ear notices least. At 192 kbps and above, the difference is imperceptible in most listening situations. Keep your original WAVs if you plan to do any editing later.
What file size is accepted?
Up to 100 MB per audio file — about ten minutes of stereo WAV — and ten files per batch. For a longer recording, trim it first with the "Cut an MP3" tool, which accepts WAV too.
