Here an AI segmentation model finds the subject — person, pet, object — and wipes the background in a few seconds, hair and fine edges included. You see the cutout on a transparency checkerboard next to the original, then export a transparent PNG, or a JPG once you drop a solid color or another photo behind it.
The difference with the usual online background removers is simple: your picture never leaves your computer. The model is downloaded to your browser once (around 100 MB, then cached), and every calculation runs locally afterwards, even offline. No account, no watermark, no credits to buy, and client or family photos that stay yours.

Why does the first cutout take longer?
Because the AI model has to be downloaded into your browser first — about 100 MB, with an honest progress bar. That is the price of background removal that needs no server. After that the model stays cached, so the next images are processed right away, even with no connection.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
Never. Only the model travels to you; your image stays on your device. That is the exact opposite of classic background remover sites, which upload your pictures to process them.
Which subjects work best?
People, portraits, pets and clearly separated products give excellent results, down to strands of hair. Busy backgrounds, glass, smoke or a subject the same color as what is behind it remain the hard cases — as they are for every cutout tool, paid ones included.
Can I put a white or custom background behind the subject?
Yes. In the settings you can keep the background transparent (PNG), pick a solid color — white being the standard for Amazon and eBay product listings — or load another image, which is cropped to fit automatically. The export then switches to JPG.
